Not too shabby! This beast of a vehicle is what my platoon rolled in on from Kabul International Airport to Camp Phoenix (the Head Quarters for my mission). Is it just me, or does this look like the RV from Robin Williams' movie from a few years ago?
The convoy commander did a nice job in staying vigilant and transporting us safely.

Love the pictures, but we miss seeing you in them. Hand the camera over to an Afgan and let them snap a picture of you. If they try to take your camera, you have a gun...right?

I was sharing your story with a few parents and students yesterday because we were talking about HEROES. I think I need to change that story to photo journalist, internet guru or comedian. Shame on you picking on your Mom that way!! Mara told me that Kate has really changed since the last time she saw her. Thank God she looks like your wife!!! Hey, how's the economy in Afghanland? Is their stock market bullish, and are their banks flush? The reason I ask is that I'm looking for a country to move to that isn't on the verge of financial collapse. Thank God that President Bush is on the job and giving his full attention to the matter.
So, have you learned to say, "Hey, that's a handsome looking camel you have there, friend," in the local language? I heard Afghans love it when someone praises their over-size dogs.
